When my kiddies were about 2 and 3 I got them up at 6 as I was so excited that they were of an age to appreciate Chrimbo. Boy, was I sorry. That was the last time :D

lol. One day whilst cooking lunch I wondered what the mushrooms would taste like done that way, so I tried it and it's been a favourite ever since. Sometimes, just for a change, I use a drop of mushroom ketchup instead of wine. Also very nice!

As we're having steak, I think the mushrooms would be best cooked like that. I'll inform the chef :D

I love mushrooms sautéed in olive oil with a knob of butter added, b pepper and salt. A spot of white wine added sounds like a tasty addition. I must try that next time...
