On the BBC website you can look at news for your local area, by county. Most counties are listed on their own but Beds, Bucks and Herts are all lumped together. Why is this?

Because those counties are covered by a single BBC local radio station called three counties radio whereas most other counties have their own local radio station, such as BBC Essex.
I thought it was because nothing much happens there.
