Bobjugs thread on eels up yer bum made me think of fishing. Last time I went fishing was this time last year at Scammadale in Scotland. A perfect day in brilliant sunshine just fly fishing all day. Just me, my mate, his dog, a boat and the wildlife. Fantastic!

Made me think that this year for the first time in 8 years I haven't made that trip and my goodness have I started to pine for it.

So I miss Scotland at the moment. What do you miss?

We were planning on going to Saltcoats for a few days (where the OH comes from) but doesn't seem likely now!

I miss being by the seaside.

Oh, and my gorgeous, wonderful boyfriend who is truly the light of my life... ;oP
Thank you for the big hug Barmaid
That's a shame. Barmaid. Nice to get away for a few days and it's rubbish when things you were looking forward to probably aren't going to happen. I was hoping to go with my husband on one of his business trips down to York next month but looks like I might not be able to now.

Think you and I deserve wine tonight.

lol yingyang, I've just got back from the shop with a bottle!!! The oh has gone out so I have blissful peace and quiet and wine in the garden (although I am preparing for work tomorrow, so not all good!).
I'll just have a very small glass because I'm on my own with girls, Just to help me sleep, you understand : )

Oh of course, medicinal purposes only! (my elbow!)
Pork pie - nice
Tesco pork and caramelised onion pie - scrummy

I am in Perth, grey and dismal Perth.

My brother lives in Nottingham with his English wife and little English-Scottish kiddies. I miss having my brother here - nothing to do with my leaking tap needing to be fixed or the 1001 other little jobs that he could be doing for me of course.

I miss having a dog.

I like Perth! Had part of my honeymoon there (shame about the husband, but honeymoon was nice)!
As I'm now no longer living alone the freedom to break wind whenever I like is sorely missed.

Bugger that Sandy. Remember this:-

Wherever you may be
Let your wind go free
In church or chapel
let it RAAAATTTTLLLLE!

I miss Bobjugs.

However, I get to see him on Friday.... Yaaaaaayyyyy :-)

Okay... I'll shut up now.

Awwwww. Ain't that sweet.

Pass the bucket!
I'm with you Barmaid, I'm married to a Scot as well, (he's from Perthshire). I miss Scotland a lot. We usually go every April and September, missed it this year, so can't wait for a week on Saturday...I'll be up in St Andrews, enjoying the beaches, flying kites and going to the Edinburgh Tattoo... The next thing on my list to achieve is fly fishing so may be back for some tips :o)
Pass the chocolate sauce and furry handcuffs...

;-))
Yinyang, where are you? I'm at the bottom end of Loch Lomond, we must be quite close!
Mr bro, no matter how annoying he can get sometimes. He lives in america havent see him for over a year
