It proved “lucky seven” for centrino who followed six blank scorers to bring home BOW LINE for TWO POINTS and this link was repeated in good time by Christiana and Strix (Beauty and the Beast?) ~ each picking up their Two Points.

Twixt these regular scorers came Aquagility bang on the TARGET AREA for another TWO POINTS. A couple of minutes passed before Entrant #21 (Elspeth) presented evidence on her FLIGHT RECORDER and demanded her TWO POINTS. Over the next twenty entries, only jobjockey managed to pick up a point. With a tight game rumbling on to a close, no one had taken up the POISON ARROW ~ until in the middle of the afternoon, when barb7771 came on the scene ~ and this last link fell.

During the last half dozen entries, joto, ulysses100 and sarumite each recorded a single hit to round the game off in good style. As last week, with six entrants tying for a top score of Two Points, I single out barb7771 for correctly predicting the very last link-word and so she becomes eligible for the title of HOT SHOT OF THE WEEK.

Although Aquagility has started to move ahead of the field, he is a recent MM Links Champion and is competing to maintain his reputation! With two more weeks to go, I shall be looking to the chasing group to find a worthy successor to rockfordill. Will that be YOU?

I think I might have made a better showing had I played in 'The Open.' Same chance there.

I think this month is a dead loss as far as I am concerned since I am going to be away for the last weekend of this month.

Next month is likely to be no better because I will still be away for the first weekend of August as well.
