Sorry for posting this in Chatterbank but I don't know where it should go. [:o(

I ordered a kitchen trolley from an online company approximately 3 weeks ago. I sent them two emails trying to chase a delivery date and received no reply (1st email ignored - 2nd email returned to me as undeliverable).

After looking further on the internet I found a review site where lots people have paid their money and not received the goods. All very bad reviews. I know I should have looked for the reviews before I ordered - unfortunately I did not (lesson learned there).

I paid with a Visa Debit card and the trolley was expensive - over four hundred pounds. Does anyone know if there is a route I can take to attempt to get my money back? The website does state that it could take up to 28 days for delivery, but all the reviews point towards this company being dodgy.

Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks all. x

You can ask for a refund from the company at any time during your order Mrs. I would first do this and see what comes form it. Just give the reason why, that they have taken too long or that you have found a similar item elsewhere who can deliver now. See what there reply is. They can't refuse you the refund really.

If they really are dodgy and do not contact you again or give you money back I would wait until the end of the 28 days and then contact trading standards.
Oh dear mrs c, I would engage someone like Watchdog to investigate this
Good Luck
Bobbi also has a good point. There are plenty of watchdog types about these days who are more than happy to help people get there cash back.
as Greed said, wait your 28 days Mrs C so you have played by the rules set down, then do some emailing and letter writing..
Should have bought it with a 'Visa Credit' card, and they would have given you your money back. But make some phone calls to 'Visa' anyway & get advice.
Good luck,

jem
I dont know who you are dealing with but I have the same experience with a company called Winning Deals. I have finally got a claim form via email and will post it off today for a refund. If you paid with a credit card you can make a claim with them. In the past I had a problem with a company in America and my credit card refunded the money to me very quickly.
grasscarp it was a Visa Debit card not a credit card, that mrs c paid with
Yes, I just noticed. Pity. However, it would help to know the name of the company who is doing this.
Your debit card company must give you your money bank as it is covered by Visa protection, even though it is not a credit card.

Thanks for replies all.

It is a company called blueshoots.com. The website looks all above board and legit, but look at the reviews ....

Thanks for that link, hc.

It's very confusing. I would prefer to get the trolley, but if that isn't gonna happen, I hope I can get the money back - it's a lot to write off. [:o(

I've emailed him and told him the boys will be round to see him if he doesn't give mrs Chappie her money back.

let your credit card company deal with it Mrs C
I recently had a letter from Natwest saying they were changing my debit card from a Maestro to a Visa Debit.

The letter said the Visa Debit card gave me protection against this sort of racket like a credit card.

Thanks Mick, but I've just been reading the reviews again and somebody has been round to the address they are supposedly trading from and there was no sign of blue shoots ..... what a bu88er. I found a telephone number - it's a recording telling you to email them with your query. Your email comes back as undeliverable. [:o(

PS: I know you was joking about sorting 'em out, it did make me laugh. [:o)

Thanks Hopkirk. I'll go round to my bank on Monday morning and see if I can start a claim, but I suspect they'll tell me I have to wait for 28 days (maximum delivery time I'll have to wait, just in case it rolls up). Judging by the reviews though, I don't expect I'm ever gonna see that blasted trolley ....
Mrs C my wife bought some stuff from a non existent company over the net and got her money back from the credit/debit card company.
