i am currently with a wonderful guy, however he wishes to go to a swinging club when we go away next weekend, this is something we've both done in the past but it no longer interests me as I only have eyes for him and feel intimidated by other women, and i'm not bi like is expected at those places. How do I make him understand that I don't want to restrict him but it is something that makes me uncomfortable, and i'd rather spend more time developing the relationship first.

Tell him straight.
just tell him it makes you uncomfortable, I personally dont think he sounds that wonderful. No partner should force you into something you arent happy with.
I echo both the above sentiments.,... maybe he's of the thinking that just because you've done it in the past, you're bound to have no objections to it now. Explain this time it's different. Don't go along with it just to please him.
Don't do it end of. If you ever want to go do it on your terms.

4getmenot is right, if he loves and respects you, he won't insist. and if he does.....

Thank you guys, sometimes it's hard to see from the outside, he doesn't force me, it's the only sticking point we have in the relationship!
Didnt say he forces you now but if you tell him you dont want to and he then insists thats what I meant, no man should force you to do something you dont want to do.
Don't compromise yourself - if it isn't what you want, don't do it to keep him happy. If he respects you and your feelings, he will do as you wish - develop the relationship with YOU ONLY

Hope all turns out ok xx
