I would dip them in flour first and then egg and breadcrumbs, or do them Tempura style:

mmm, tempura prawns sounds good!thnks!!i only have olive oil am i ok frying in this?erad peanut oil is supposed to be best.
important to remove the central vein to avoid serious illness. Shallow slice on back to remove black effluent vein.
You can get away with olive oil!
It won't cause serious illness Tambo...it's just the intestines...

is this necessary tambourine?ive never done this before.

oh god you've put me off now!!
not intestines ummm....its the schit bit - collect them in a glass & see if appetising? Prawns live on effluent. They're perfectly safe once that vein is removed, especially on large prawns.
Just remember what comes out of your intestines!!!!!
Eating the vein means you are eating it's ****!!!!!
Merciasound recently posted a tempura batter made from flour, rice flour and beer (maybe other stuff too). I looked for it but cannot find it, wish I could though because it sounded good.
It's not pleasant but it won't make you 'seriously ill'
