passport expired

hiya im going to applying for a provisional driving licence soon but ive noticed that my passport expired in october so have no photograghic ID to prove who i am. Will they accepy it by any chance, do you think? i wouldnt have a clue where to get a copy of my birth certificate iether :(

If you still live in the town you were born in you get a copy birth certificate from your town's register office, it will be in the phone book, that will cost you £7.00

Read the application pack and it will explain about getting your passport size photo signed on the back by somene who has known you, like a teacher, and they sign the form too.

Did you have a child's passport? You may still qualify for a childs one again, get the form from your postoffice
