I am running Windows Media Player 9 on Windows ME. I seem to have lost the sound. I have tried everything I can think of to get it back, even reinstalling the Media Player. But no luck.

Any non technical suggestions please?

sounds like (forgive the pun) that your driver is missing

so click start

click control panel

click system, click hardware, click on sounds video and game controllers and if theres a yellow question mark beside it then the device is not working or the wrong driver is in use.

If the yellow question mark is there then get your sound card cd and indtall the new driver.
