Help With Windows XP

On Windows Xp I've changed the settings to Always Hide the Local Area Network symbol on the Tool bar, but when I restart my computer it changes back to the default setting of Hide when inactive. Can anybody help?

Changes made whilst the bar is locked will have no permanent effect. Unlock the bar using the item on the right-button menu, make the change, and then leave the bar alone or re-lock it.
