Hope someone can understand my question, not tip top with computers etc. and help me with a recording program.

I have a Dell Inspiron with Windows XP and Windows Media (the latest one). I have used the sound recorder in accessories to copy bits of tracks for a quiz night.

Anyhoo, having recorded them and saved them I cannot hear them when I play back. I have saved them under file type "sound waves" and the title of the song in "My Pictures". What am I doing wrong? I tried burning onto a CD which says it is audio/video but windows media won't accept it.

Help!!
