Did my dishwasher decide that Christmas Day when I have used just about everything in the kitchen would be a great time to pack up?!! The heating is up the swannee too, so there is no hot water to wash up.

I think I shall just climb inside a bottle of Pinot and have done with it.

I've got a bottle of something called sapori ponot grigio indicazione geografica tipica 2008 here unopened, people have given me randon bottles of wine and i don't like the stuff. is this one any good? it says made in italy on the back, the white (but it looks pink) genache is nearly all gone and i don;t know if to go onto the bacardi or try this other bottle

I had some unopened rosado Spanish cava.... but now it's been opened and is very nice so far. Two Xmas days in a row our drains got blocked and we had to go out in the cold and long gloves and unplug them. No trouble since we got the new waste disposal in, so we have just had Xmas indoors but in sunshine for the first time in umpteen years.

Good luck with the pinot... noir or grigio?

Dot, I've no idea if it is any good, but give it a whirl (if it isn't just stick the cork back in and save it for cooking).

Jno - Grigio. Urgh - blocked drains on Christmas Day - I had that at an old farmhouse about 5 years ago. Realised just before my family rocked up and spent the next hour with my hand stuck down it up to the shoulder!!!

BF is playing Guitar Hero rather than having a look at the DW. Grrrrrrrr.
