I have heard that they can walk upstairs but not down. Though whether this is true or not I don't know, and anyway, who would WANT to take a cow upstairs? LOL

Cows can't walk down stairs due to the construction of their knees... Additionally, contrary to popular belief, cows only have one stomach, not four.  The single stomach is, however, divided into four chambers... BTW the pupils of goats eyes are rectangular...

Well its last day of term soon for us year 11's and people at school are saying that they are going to take a cow into 1 of the rooms upstairs and the only way of getting the cow out is shooting it or having to lift the roof off. so i was hoping that cows can walk down stairs coz i wouldnt want the cow to be shot for no reason. so thats why i had to know lol. and thanks for telling me clanad about goats eyes. is there any other way you could get 1 out?? thanks x

I've seen cows walk up and down some pretty steep hills an rugged terain, so I suspect they could probably get down some stairs if they had to.
