We have a hub phone for broadband and a separate land line.We are currently paying 23.50 per month for the land line and 24.00 per month for the broadband. Our last statement stated that the broadband charge was being increased to 32.00 per month. We have free evening and weekend calls from the hub phone and don't use it at any other time. Are these charges excessive?

Definately excessive!!

I'm not sure what a home hub does but I've got wireless broadband which costs 14.99 with Tiscali, plus 10.50 to BT for line rental - including free evening calls.
We only pay around 70 per month for Sky+, multi room, broadband, line rental and free local and national calls all the time. Mobile calls are cheaper as well.
