Light House Girl?

Hi,
I am trying to find out about a girl in the United Kingdom who ran a light house and saved a few sailors??

Any help would be appreciated thanks in advance

Alistair's mum. It persuaded her son of the value of saving.
Grace Darling's father was the Lighthouse Keeper. On the night when a ship was wrecked on the rocks below, Grace rowed out to the stricken ship, and saved the lives of the sailors. There is a book entitled "Grace Darling", if you want to read the whole story. There is also a painting showing Grace rowing through the storm. Hope this helps.
Sounds like Grace Darling, who was the precursor of the RNLI (Royal National Lifeboat Institute).
