I remember that day like yesterday.

I just had my youngest and he wasn't sleeping through the night and I remember sitting up all night that saturday, watching the tele and crying at the loss of lives.

God bless them all.
i think it was 2 or 3 years ago we leanrned about it in english . . .

theres a poem about it and we had to analyse it. but we also watched some stuff like newsclips and a documentary about it.
I remember it well, it was so sad, I was absolutely dumbstruck watching it

may they rest in peace xx
morning Gossipgirl funny and nix, in our family it is a very significant day, that morning about 9.30 I think it was, my children's paternal grandfather lost his fight with cancer, my husband and eldest son were in Kent with him and I was at home in Lancashire with my two youngest, it was quite late in the day that I realised what had happened at Hillsborough. My brother-in-law is a huge Liverpool fan and knew people that lost their lives that day.
They'll never walk alone....................................
Dont really remember it it all to know if its gone quick or not although 89 does not seem that long ago
Were you born then 4get???

I know many youngsters don't remember it.
I was 14 and looking forward to watching the match between notts forest and l'pool
I remember Hillsborough being the third of three awful disasters - there seemed to be one terrible one happening every 2 years or so - firstly the Bradford stadium fire in 1985, then the Zeebrugge ferry sinking in 1987, then Hillsborough. My kids were only little at the time of all these, and it seemed as though I had brought them into a world that was brimful of disasters and sadness.
I was travelling on the M42 when it came on the radio.I remember the announcer saying 'i'm afraid there may be some fatalites'.
One of those fatalities was a school friend of mine.
An absolute tragedy , one that could have been avoided . May they rest in peace
How's this for a tribute.

I've just read about this on Wikipedia, and it's from the AC Milan v Real Madrid game that took place four days after Hillsborough. The game had been playing for 6 minutes when the Referee called a halt to observe a minutes silence, and you can hear the AC fans singing "You'll Never Walk Alone"

Like salla said, I remember seeing the pictures from the Bradford Fire disaster (which will soon be remembered - May 11th) and I can also remember seeing Des Lynam on Grandstand and the pictures from the ground that day. They are images that should not be forgotten, but, they are things you should not have to remember. I don't support any of those teams but they were disasters for Football.

For the 56 in Bradford in 1985 and the 96 in Sheffield in 1989 you shall never be forgotten. RIP
Nice one, Judge.
I was 10
I remember it like it was yesterday too. I was ironing & listening to local radio which covered Nottm, Derby, Leics, it was a mixture of music & crossing over to sport. I hate crowds & I remember feeling an overwhelming panic for those poor people as the story was reported that afternoon.

I went the pub to watch the match, two lads from that pub died that day......we all watched it unfold, then went home with my mate, sat in the garden, I remember it was really sunny and warm, it was also eerily quiet.....

RIP.
I am watching the memorial service on Sky and wondering why it isn't on BBC?
