I posted last night, my 2 Jack Russells, both daft as a brush and lovable for England were attacked by 3 dogs whilst out walking yesterday . They are ok, thank god, but I really am not,the terrified screaming they made is still ringing in my ears. I would sooner the dogs had attacked me. Had no sleep and am still shaking, the worst thing was they were both being hurt and i didn't know which one to help

Thanks evrybody, so much, Christine, how is ya luvly Labby now ? Hope hes ok, gonna have to go now x
I had my friend, Juan, and his 3 grandchildren round, and tho Alfie was scared of them, he was completely submissive. When they stoked him, played with him, and even kissed him on the head, he was totally daft with them. He has not got a vicious bone in his body. I do think it has a lot to do with the breed, tho.
Hi curvybird as a dog lover I know how you feel but its over now and just think how lucky you were not bitten and that there were no children involved and your dog is ok but it might be a good idea to have him checked over. I would try and find out who the owners were .This worries me when I take my Labrador to the park for a big as he is he would not fight back. I always carry a stick.

BOO, ya right, we are all entitled to our opinions, otherwise wot is the point of posting on here.? Apologies, sincerely meant duck x
was Alfie on fire NOM?
Awww Curvy bird, no need for apologies. I'm just glad that you know I wasn't having a go at you, I really wasn't!

Maybe I'm just a hard faced bag, and not that much gets to me. I'm the "Thank god my dog wasn't hurt, time to move on" type of gal.

I really am glad your dogs are ok, though I am surpised to be honest that they are jack russels, as I've always had them and I've found they're mentality a bit barking to be honest (pun intended). I've always found that they think themselves as rotties and provoked will take anything else on regardless of their size.
You could be right about breed NoMercy, but going back to my first post, my sisters dog was well looked after and trained maybe a bit mollycoddled! and was a Labrador cross spaniel. You would assume that such a breed, with the training and looking after she had, that she would have been placid and friendly and loveable. In fact she was. And remained so for the rest of her natural. But in that one instant she was an animal and followed her natural survival instinct. Thats all there is to it really, it just takes one instance.

So as I said first off, curvy should consider it a lucky escape and get on with her day rather than wasting it over what might have been.

B00, I think that is what my JR thought, much to her own downfall.
NoMercy, just read your post ,about Alfie, brought a lump to my throat, that's what we called our little Yorkie, he was nearly 18 when he died, I still miss him terribly
