That's great, need more people to take in vulnerable children.
Well done
that's fab news, zzxxee.. congrats to all of them :o)
Excellent, congrats to all.
Must be lovely for them all.

Can't imagine how it woudl feel if she'd been fostering and then had to give her up.
That is great new for your friend, but especially for the little girl.

yep she is over the moon has had to face difficalties proveing she would be a good mum she is divorced and on her own, no other kids and has been fostering her for quite a short time just six months but they have bonded so well little one has settled into local school made loads of friends, and my mate loves being a mum doing the school run and haveing loads of other 5 year olds home for tea she is in her element as was told at 22 she couldnt have kids cause of going through early menopause so shes now going to be a MUM coulnt of happened to a nicer woman and she got the news on her 36th birthday its brilliant
It is great that she hasn't had to wait too long for a final adoption.

It is great for her new daughter too - she is at school and has a new mummy.

thanks to everyones kind words my mate has read them and expressess her thanks to you all x
Tell your friend congrats! This question caught my eye because I am just beginning the fostering process and have just been told by the social worker never ever try and adopt a child you foster because it causes so many problems for all the people who have been involved in their care legally! I would be interested in what your friend had to say and if she encountered problems!
Question Author
ive asked her and she tells me it depends on the background of the child, she was fairly lucky as her daughters birth mother showed no objections and will recieve updates about her its kind of an open adoption, where her birth mother can see her once a year and gets photos and school reports that kind of thing
