Had this done on monday evening, and im still in a lot of pain, very very tender and cannot chew properly, cant bite down coz it hurts :-{

Is it normal for it to be so sore even after a few days, or am i impatient??!!!!

Thanks!

Nothing for your comfort I am afraid, Mancmo, had it done a number of times and sometimes it settles down quickly, sometimes it doesn't.

Stick with the painkillers for a couple more days, but if it doesn't subside by next week, go back and see your dentist. They may not have got right to the end of the root, or there may be a branch it was very difficult to spot.
It does take a long time sometimes,and I'm sorry to say,they don't always work. I've had to have a couple of teeth out after trying the root canals.
hi mancmo i had root canal done about 10 years ago and i have 2 say it was agony.i was in lots of pain for over a week but it did settle down.i used soluble aspirin as you can take them throughout the day and night which i needed as i felt like i had had a big punch in the mouth.my root canal was sucessful and so was worth all the pain.keep taking the painkillers but if you dont see any improvement go back to your dentist.hope you feel better soonxx
