some body i no has been riding for a year and when i jumoed my pony she had a go and my riding instructer said she was better than me and i have been riding for 9 wat can i do.

Whatever you do in life there will always be someone that is better at it than you. It is a hard fact but true. You shouldn't be jealous of her accomplishment, you should be happy that she is enjoying riding as much as you. Try and think of it not as who is the best (which is very subjective) but who is getting the most pleasure from it (with any luck it will be both of you). To answer your question you should find another instructor who will not knock your confidence.

well yes you could go to another riding instructor, also you could ask the instructor what precisely your friend was doing better than you and how can you change what you do to improve. One of the best lessons that I have ever learnt about learning things generally (now I am going to sound like your granny) is when you find someone who does something better than you, find out how they do it!!
