can anyone give me a breakfast suggestions! I am looking for something I can eat at my desk at work that is quite filling and easy to prepare. It needs to be something easy to eat discreetly (don't mean it is not allowed but cannot be sitting with a big bowl of frosites or whatever). I have recently been having sandwich or bagel or wholewheat crackers which have all been made up at home but getting bit fed up with them. Hoping for suggestions that do not include bread. thanks

Tortilla wraps. Put whatever inside, fold in half & wrap up from the outer edge, very filling!
Muesli bars.
Pre made toastie sweet or savoury.
oops! no bread!
Banana?
Sliced fruit in a lunchbox.
Rice cakes with cream cheese, and apple cut into segments/
Or get up a bit earlier and have Ready Brek which only takes a minute in the microwave. Any type of porridge oats will keep you full until lunchtime.
Cook some sausages and an egg the night before and eat a couple of the sausages cold with the hard boiled egg.
If you have a deep muffin tin and eggs, you can make mini Spanish tortillas...and they can be frozen.
Beat together 3 eggs,a bit of cream, salt+pepper, and fresh chopped herbs if you have them. Add to this any combination of diced tinned potatoes, sauteed onions or mushrooms, lightly cooked broccoli, chopped red peppers, finely minced spring onions and grated cheese. Spoon into the greased muffin holes, and bake in a moderate oven until the mixture is just set . Leave to cool before turning out. Can be frozen, and they thaw quickly.
I was going to suggest pitta breads with various fillings but it's bread.

How about a chopped fruit salad like melon and grapes.

A breakfast fruit and crunch yoghurt, you can DIY with muesli and fruit.

Very thin crepe like pancakes is also idea instead of bread with different fillings like banana or nutella.

thanks all - that is a great selection to be getting on with! Actually this morning I brought some rice cakes and squashed some banana on them, quite tasty.

I have always wished I could like porridge but even having tried it again recently with different flavours i did not like it!

thanks again
