I would have thought so !?!
Yes, it's breakfasts. It's a strange mistake, as breakfastses is much harder to say!
"Breakfastses" is completely impossible to say.  This is because nobody has ever said it.  I know this because I have never heard anyone say it, therfore nobody else ever has either.

believe me it is possible and most irritating!!

Similarly, I'm tired of being asked whether a 'couple' of something means two. As in 'I'll have a couple of slices of that ham, please'. 'Two?'. Grrrr! Since when has 'a couple' meant something so vague as 'several'?

it's the repeating sss sound that throws people:

in the same way that people get slippery with the multiple of a text message and often say textses or texses or textes.

i find "texties" quite cute. ..

'He texed me' is annoying. If 'he sent me a text message' is too much of a mouthful, then surely the past tense is 'he texted me'? But then I'm an incorrigible pedant,as has already been demonstrated!
