Tight wad.
if they are doing it every night so the parents can go to work then why shouldn't they charge (what is in truth a fairly nominal amount) for their services.
how many evenings a week? seriously, that takes up a lot of someone's time and they may have to adjust their plans to do that. also, grandparents are generally old enough to deserve a bit more peace than that. toddlers are demanding and disruptive. I think it's asking a lot, and a nominal payment is a fair gesture.
Perhaps the parents are claiming for it on their taxes or whatever.
jesus I would have to pay the out-laws about 700quid a week , 4 kids.... each spend about 2 hours a night there
5 or 6 hours at the weekend about 100 hours totalling the kids?

perhaps i should lay off calling her a ******* **** ?

its my step daughters father and his mrs,he is only in his 40s and doesnt work.....me and mrs maveric think he is a tight a** we dont charge anything.....ffs its our granddaughter......
I wouldn't have the bugggers at any price,
good way of not having to look after the kid ..told my kids i wont be looking after any grand kids.if they ever have kids .lol .
I think that's shameful.

We look after our grandchildren any time for as long as necessary. I would no more think of charging my daughter than flying to the moon. If you can;t help out your family and bond with your grandchildren without making it a financial transaction, you don't deserve to have grandchildren.

I would pay a professional childminder and tell him where to get off.
it is tight asking for money to look after the kid . she could treat them to meals out sometimes as a thank you .
Does he not work because he's well off?
I move in with my parents 2 days and nights a week so i can work in main office. My mum looks after my 2 all day and feeds us all for those 2 days and doesnt charge a penny

I love my mum :)
