My ex husband and I have been separated for nearly nine years, but never got divorced ( I know!!!!!!).
I now am looking at doing this but want to do it myself without a solictor. I know the county court near me handles them but does anyone have any much it costs to to do it this way, you know, what court fees are to be paid etc........I don't think I'm entitled to any discount of costs. TIA

Try going to the court office and have a chat. They can be very helpful and give you some sound advice about procedures, costs etc.
you dont need to do it online just contact the court they will send out the documents they also send explanatory leaflets and tell you step by step what to do, fill the form in, send your money and as long as you both agree thats all there is to it, very easy
My Dad has just paid 300 to file the divorce petition and 40 for the decree absolute.

I think you have grounds to file for the five years separation.
