When I ran a newsagents, an elderly customer used to buy batteries for one of those hand-held massager type things she used on her bad shoulder.

She came into the shop one busy morning, and said rather loudly: "Can I have a couple of batteries please, Les" "You know the ones" "The ones I put in my vibrator".
