I have just found an unopened 1 litre bottle of Baileys Original in the back of a cupboard with a best before date of November 2006. Do you think that as it is unopened it would be safe to drink?

As it is made with cream, I wouldn't risk it personally.....
Open it and try it
i have drunk baileys a year after opening it and suffered no ill effects
Absolutely safe, even if it were open.

I have a bottle of Hardy's Ale from 1978, it will just keep on improving. Bugs do not grow in alcohol.
I think the alcohol would preserve the cream but to be on the safe side................I'll sample a glass for you.................and another............................and another.......................Hic!!!!!! lol
I wouldn't chance it!

The cream may come out all curdled and it looks off putting.
Shake the bottle and give it a g o...it
will be Ok ..
Baileys has a best before date.
Wether opened or not it would be foolish to drink something out of date by 2 yeasr.

When i worked in the bar they wouldnt dream of selling baileys past the sell by date

Bin it

you cant be that desperrate surely ?
One question: Is it alcoholic? Answer: Yes.

Therefore, You drink it.
How about 10-year old vinegar? Might have gone off I suppose.
My mum is 85 and can't stand waste, she ate some chocolates my sister had in a cupboard that were 3 years out of date. She said "I'm 85, if I die, I'll die happy!".
just get it drunk, pour it over ice, any bugs will die of cold
Just open it and try! If it's not curdled or bad smelling, it's most likely fine.
Throw it out and buy a new bottle! on offer at the moment for Christmas, 10 litre in Sainsburys, was 8 in Tescos but not sure if still on offer! try other brands! M&S also St Brendans apparently Baileys isn't "the Best"
under no circumstances must you touch this -if you drink this your nose will fall off so give me your address and i will send in the baileys relocation squad who will remove it safely for you !!!!! on a more serious note yes it is ok to drink ,try it in coffee -delish
