Is there aright way up to plant runner bean seeds.

black bit at the bottom or other way round or will they

turn around in the soil of there own accord?

It doesn't matter which way up you plant a seed - the shoot will grow upwards, and the root downwards every time!

Just think what happens in the wild - the seed pod dries and opens, and the seeds fall to the ground and land every which way
