eat less, exercise more.

or if you wish to avoid real life, hard work and convince yourself you are tackling the problem, sauna belts, diet pills, slimming ab machines, et al ad infinitum . . .

Realistically though, have you thought about a slimming club? I am currently attending a Men-Only class run by Scottish Slimmers and it is great. I found out that I was actually not eating enough and as a result, my motabolism wasn't "working" properly and I was actually putting on weight. Their diet plan is great as I have to eat twice the amount I used to eat and have lost half a stone in a month.

Greenbhoy I could do with some of that!

Eat 'better', exercise more, eat more fruit and veg and drink lots of water (1.5ltr a day)

Cut out beer for a month.
My super fit mate Bobby says loads of CV, low carb intake, no beer and gentle ab excercises. Good luck.
