Hi, my sister has a load of eating apples from her own trees that she is offering me and I would like to make chutney out of them. Is it possible to use sweet eating apples rather than cookers? I'm assuming that it will be ok as long as I reduce the amount of sugar in the recipe.....

You can use any apple ..eaters don't
need sugar ..so use your recipe ..
and tweak it ..
Apart from the sugar content, cooking apples tend to remain ftrmer after cooking, so you may get more of a sauce than a chutney.
