My old cat is definately on his last legs. He is 19 now and senile and deaf. He has been my friend now for all these years. What have you got that is very dear to you, something that you have had that you would never let go.

Hiya puss. Sorry if you're sad. Have a (((((HUG))))) xxxxx
Thats why i wouldnt ahve another pet since when i was a lad.

they are impossible to replace
cats are so loyal and loving you know a pet can mean more to some than a partner and nothing will ever replace them sometimes its too hard to let them go but its not fair to let them suffer its a tough time for you puss keep strong

i have had a broken heart

but super glue and vodka sorted it.

Different from losing a pet tho.

Strange time , especially i find it strange when folk get a replacement.
i couldn't do that.
seems wrong somehow
Hey puss, sadly a lot of us on here have been in that situation - I know I personally have many times.

It never gets easier when the time comes to make the decision to end the creature's life (perhaps it was always gonna be harder for me 'cos we used to take on rescued and mistreated animals) so unfortunately I was a regular visitor on a mercy mission to the vets .

When the quality of life has gone - then's the time to do the right thing for the puss.

Sorry, that hasn't answered your question, but I want you to know that there are folk thinking about you and your very dear puss.
Hi puss - just saw this and I know what you mean. I have an old cat who is also deaf and a bit senile (she's 18) and I look at her and think she probably won't last the year out. She still enjoys life at the moment so as long as there is some quality there and she's not in pain I will let her make the most of what time she does have.
