Is there anything I can do about the racket my bath makes when it's emptying? The noise comes through the bath overflow and is extremely loud! I did think that there may have been a slight blockage, so used some 'Sink & Plughole Unblocker' but it made no difference. Thank you.

Check here... you'll have to navigate to the search screen and post your question, which has been answered previously by a plumber.  The problem arises when you have a drain that is to effective. It drains so well that it pulls air into the draining vortex.  One solution was to add a small vent line downstream of the trap and route that line to join the vent line running to the roof.  This could be difficult if all the neccessary areas aren't accessible, but at least check it out... Good luck!

I guess this is likely to be the answer given above.

The problem is having to long a run of waste pipe from the bath trap to the soil stack.  The mass of water in the waste pipe is causing suction in the pipe and air is being drawn into the system through the over flow.  It is common to vent any long runs of waste pipe to prevent this happening.
