though last time I was in the states for the 4th I was shocked at how many times I got asked how we celebrate the 4th in the uk :)

I have spent a 4th July in New York once and boy the atmosphere.

Street parties everywhere, bbq's going,liquor flowing, it was a really great atmosphere.
