My hair straighteners fell on top of my passport whilst they were heating up... i dont know why my passport was near my straighteners in the first place...
However, luckily, it didnt burnt... but it got so hot thats theres a slight melty bump in the side of the plastic microchip at the back. do you reckon itll affect me when im going from country to country? i dont know how i should get it checked? the post office? help please... haha. xx

Call the 24-hour Passport Adviceline on 0870 521 0410. They should know what you ought to do.

A replacement passport is what you need before you go anywhere.
Even accidental damage will cause you grief at every entry point where you need to produce your passport.
Immigration people probably wouldn't believe your explanation anyway.
