I have frozen some mashed potato that was left over. Apart from frying it, what is the best way to reheat it?

put a dollop of butter in it and reheat in the microwave?

I've done this often and nothing untoward has happened to me yet.

Thanks Boo. It's got loads of butter in already but I don't mind that.

You're most welcome MrK, i know how helpful snippets of info like this to a man of of your obvious minimal intelligence are.

Lemme know if I can be off assistance to you again, like tieing your shoelaces maybe? :-)
Alternatively buy frozen mash from iceland and zap it in the nuclear box .

I mean nuke it in the microwave
What if you left it to defrost then reheated it when it was fully defrosted? You could do allsorts with it then - fry it, nuke it, make fishcakes etc
You could do the old fashioned method of putting it in a saucepan with a dollop of butter and a drop of milk & then re-heat it slowly
I have successfully frozen Shepherds pie before and just reheat in the oven later on. No problems.

Instead of butter creme fraish (sp?) is very nice with mash, and healthier as well.
If you had some fish, you could make a nice fish pie with it.
xx
Or grill some haddock, flake it with the mash, add some coriander and roll in breadcrumbs. Slightly fry and you will have nutritious fish cakes!!!
Hi Abdul - haven't seen your postings for a while - everything ok?
Been in the States for a month or so and now (not wishing to quote Gary Glitter) I'm back, I'm back, as a matter of fact, I'm back!!!
Good to see you back Abdul - have a good time inUSA? you forgot to pack me in your bag!
I froze some mash about 4 weeks ago and when I defrosted it last week it was all soggy and I had to throw it away, what did I do wrong?
If my mum ever had to reheat my dad's dinner she put the plate on top of a pot of boiling water with another plate on the top it heated up fairly quickly without drying out..Its the way I do things too..
