I think 'Sunshine' by Twista was great, it wasnt an original song but sampling is a big part of making music these days. You simply cannot be completely original every time you make a song, if i was going to choose an artist for originality it would definitely be Natasha Bedingfield.

I hate all of the tracks in this list but if i had to pick one it would be Scissor Sistors with 'Laura'. Purely because it's the only band/track that's even slightly original.

OMG no Eric Prydz!!! I hear wot ur saying bout the video and it not being original, but it was just a tuuune!

Out of the list I would have to say Maroon 5, Scissor Sisters, Natasha, Girls Aloud, Will Young, Brian, McFly, Anastacia, Busted, Katie Melua in that order.

I do think thought that Will Young will win though

katie melua
"closest thing to crazy"

"RECORD OF THE YEAR"?!?! My God, if some foreign person came over to England and judged our music tastes by this travesty of a list, what on earth would they think?

Out of those, I would choose Scissor Sisters, but really, where's Golden Touch by Razorlight, or Reptilia by The Strokes, Take Me Out by Franz Ferdinand..?

For God's sake, who's idea was it to put Girls Aloud on there? All their songs sound the same - AWFUL - and I'd bet their record label paid for them to be there. I can't believe anyone thinks they're good, let alone vote for that caterwauling mess of a song.

Good lord, what has happened to this country..birthplace of the Beatles, the Clash, the Stones......makes you cry

Who chose this list? And how dare they? I would vote for Kate Melua but my real choice would be Dry Your Eyes by The Streets. I suppose they are choosing the acts that will accept their award graciously and perform live (yeah, right) at the awards ceremony, not some act that may decide to do their own thing, swear, ad lib or get ratted. Judging by the shortlist they are expecting the majority of voters to be about 8 years old.
