I already have points my provisional license.
I had an emergency well maybe not as such, but i had to pick my brother up from the airport whom i hadn't seen in about 6 years.(IT WAS A SURPRISE SO I WASNT DRIVING ON PREMEDITATION) Anyway to cut the story short i ended up crashing the car which belonged to my sister, just around the corner of her house.
I turned myself into the police station, almost 6 months later i recieve a court summons. i can plead guilty via written statement of mitigation.

can anyone help with what i can write in my defence i have already admitted to driving without a full license, but the charges are driving without due care and without insurance.

EVEN by pleading guilty and giving myself up to the police what chances do i stand of NOT getting a ban?
bearing in mind i alreaddy have 6 points on my license, and am taking driving lessons and hopefully book my test before the court date.????
Thanks alot whoever can shed any sort of light on my situation.

Mate,
Please be careful about changing stories and getting someone to admit to something they didn't do in court. It's a great idea to get a lawyer's advice given the way this is going. If the court picks up that stories may be twisted to keep people out of trouble, and they can show 'perversion of the course of justice' or 'perjury', you are talking prison time.
Good luck.
Hey,

A similar thing happened to me a few years ago while i was learning and again sister car and what not. A cabbie hit me and so on. But anyway long story short

I plead guilty and got a 300 fine and a 6 month banning and 6 points on my licence . I think a ban is inevitable unluckily.

But hopefully you'll not be hit too harsh.

Good luck mate!
I'm sorry, but what a stupid thing to do. Mitigating circumstances are not a defence. You could have killed someone.
