he was one of those "trendy, young withit with the yoof" type teachers and i thought he was gorgeous- that probably explains why English was the only subject I was good at!

The best public schools wisely do not use women teachers, like you I had none. I do remember one at primaty school however who used to lean well forward over the desk with her arms folded.

There was the old male teacher and as I recall he was old and had handlebar moustache.

Mr McVey the physics teacher who was just a geek really but lovely and Mr Tattersall the geography teacher who ended up marring a girl in the year above me.
Mr Robson the boys PE teacher was the school letch who had numerous affairs with schoolgirls ewwwwwwww, fat balding get he was as well.

I had a major crush on our French Assistant in the Sixth Form. even now when I hear 'She Belongs To Me' by Bob Dylan, i c an see her cashmere sweaters and floaty scarves.

This was the first woman with Gallic features that I fancied - first of thousands, including the present Mrs Hughes.

Miss Price my French teacher in 1977. Purdey haircut, culottes and tan suede knee high boots. She kept 500 boys going in pre-pubescent fantasies. She married my English teacher......and part-time international porn star..... Mr. Walker (full length leather trench coat, samsonite briefcase, Keegan hairdo and a big Carlos Fandango muzza). He was a geezer of his day and we knew he'd crack Miss Price where countless other suitors hadn't. Girls would break into a sweat when he came into class (plus a few boys...hold it Justin!).
