Give up the chocolate and try cleaning your face with an exfoliating SP? pad to get rid of all the gunk left after soap. If its acne then go to the doctor who can prescribe a drug depending on your suitability. Minocyclone or something like that.

Thanks for the answer icemansav, but dude seriously, i cannot give up the chocolate, that would be savage, though ill try and cut down on it, anyway cheers for the answer.

Hi, get yourself off to the doctors about the spots.  There is no need to put up with them.  My son suffered badly until I forced him to go, complaining all the way to the surgery.  He took low dose antibiotics for several years until about 18 and his skin is fine now.

While you are at the doctor's you can ask him about your finger!!

Good Luck with the girlies!

Finger?
Chocolate is not a cause of spots!! It was on tv about that, and it is just an old myhth it isn't true! You are a young lad so it's not unusual. Go to your doctors and see if they can give you any tablets. My brother was the same at your age and he was on tablets that worked quite well. Soap is not a good thing to use on your face as it will dry your skin out and could worsen your spots. Go to boots or to your local chemist and see if they can suggest a good fascial wash for men. You are doing right by eating lots of fruit, drinking lots of water is good for the skin aswell. Are they proper spots or does it seem more like acne? Fascial Sauners are good for opening the pores, you can buy them from argos! Wash your face thoroughly with cold water after use.

Try Witch, the green liquidy stuff from boots, burns your face but seemed to work.
Thinking about it, I saw it in Morrison's too, so forget the Boots bit. It's got something to do with witchhazel.
Soap can help with acne. Sebaceous glands make the skin greasy which block the pores. Soap degreases the skin, stopping the pores getting blocked. http://www.encyclopedia.com/html/s1/sebaceou.asp
I used to work in a clinic visted by many celebs, I hope the information I have picked up will help you. I presume that these spots are the usual whiteheads and black heads? Firstly, do not take medication for these unless you have an extremley serious problem. your body doesnt need to be overdosed on something it doesnt need. Secondly I really recommed a soap called "Moor Lavender Soap". Lavender is excellent for healing the skin, and this prodcut is very gentle and is just wonderful. You probably wont be able to find it in the high street, but try a healthfood shop or try the nutricentre.com online. Routine is also important, always wash your face first thing in the morning, and before you go to bed and Moisturise!!! Find a moisturiser that suits you. If you have the budget, try the clinique range for men, if not try Boots botanics range, their pore perfecting moisturiser is very good. (celeb tip: after you have rinsed the soap from your face, refresh your face with cold water. It will tighten the pores) Eating chocolate wont help, but if its proper chocolate, such as green and blacks or anything organic/fairtrade, you will find that you dont need to eat as much to get that chocholate hit. Its also better for you as the iron and mineral content is higher. Stay clear of white and milk chocolate as its full of suger and doesnt actually contain much cocoa. Lastly the best product I recommend is a natural supplement called eatyourgreens (avaialble from their own website). Basically one of these everyday is the same as eating a portion of greens, which is fantastic for the skin and hair, and belive me these work! They also stop your mother nagging at you to eat your greens!

It doesn't matter if you eat chocolate but I have read that fruit doesn't  help
(you said you ate fruit,) you shouldn't use soap on your face either, an antibacterial face wash is better and when you're rinsing your face after washing it, splash cold water on, this closes the pores so dirt can't get in that causes spots.  Try to keep a towel separate just for drying your face on and change it every other day.

The doctor could suggest other things too, if you don't want to see the doctor, some do have on 'online surgery'.  Good luck.!
