I have receieved a speeding fine for going over 30mph (Gatsby 'redlight' Camera).

It was on a major trunk (A) road at 3.20am in an 'open road' area where there were some roadworks and the speed had been reduced from 50mph.  I am convinced that the temporary speed change was to 40mph (which it is on most of the road - its the A13 by the way).  I remeber being flashed (it kinda wakes you up at 3.20am!) and when I looked at my speedo I was doing around 30-35mph - and before you ask, it wasn't jumoing lights.  I confess therefore that I was caught, but where do I stand? - 60 + 3 points begrudges me.

Not the nasty cameras in Barking / East Ham? I hate those ones! The road has been 3 or 4 lanes for about 2 years now with no work going on, but they scatter a few cones about randomly and reduce the limit to 30! You have my sympathy as I use this road a lot, but if memory serves me correctly, the limit is 30, so I don't think there's much you can do.
