Brilliant! Not least because if I have a drink myself, champagne's the one for me as well. It really DOES make me go all giggly.

we both go out to a lovely eatery and let someone else takethe strain.
i don"t like going out for christmas dinner yorks when you have kids its just lovely to sit in drinking and watching the kids opening and playing with there presents. then stuffing your face watching all the soaps on the box. especially when you get loads of wind with eating too much. lol

I sometimes think that's the best way to do it yorks lad, but I like the whole family affair thing of Christmas - one of the few times we can all get together, so that means everyone round the table for a home-cooked dinner.

And huge grin again - I can remember going to this place on Fulham Palace Road and asking for champagne. I got it - but also got some strange looks from the people who were sitting round with a pint!
yes if i can get away with it I'm gone, but alas I'm not as couragious as i used to be, so I just settle for a few cans and do as I'm told, till she looks the other way, or answers the phone, then whoosh, I'm gone. :-)
I used to work on Fulham Palace Road!! good times..

As for drinking at xmas, we've banned alcohol this year because when my dad has one it leads to him having two bottles and all hell breaks loose...so especially with the baby about - its an alcohol free xmas!
Oh yes, its a mans right to do that , it's tradition, puts the bossy woman in her place right where she belongs in the kitchen .......

although she made me late for my drink last year , she made me peel the potatoes , carrots and do the hoovering, its not happening again this year i can tell you , I will prepare them the night before......
