I was trying to copy from VHS tape to DVD via my Lite-on recorder but Infiniti +RW was rejected. I am trying to track down suppliers of Gigatain DVD's on the internet or stocked by national retailers. I have used one of these when it came as a free gift in a magazine so I know it is a quality product. Can anyone help please?

does your recorder match the +RW of the discs, if yes then I would suggest changing the copying software. Have a look at Clone DVD by Slysoft.

The branding of the disks is irrelevant, its the +/- rw that matters
While much of Cazzz1975's post makes sense to me, I can't fully agree that 'the branding of disks is irrelevant'. It's well known that certain makes of drive seem to 'prefer' certain makes of disk. For instance, my Liteon drive repeatedly reports errors when trying to burn data disks (under Nero) with the Samsung Pleomax brand but works every time with Tesco's own brand.

You can buy Gigatain DVD+RW disks here:

I have copied many many disks over the years and I have found that sometimes a set of lite ons work well sometimes they dont...

I buy them in bulk and have had good and bad results but sometimes its within the same brand!

I think thats what I was trying to say

I own a liteon DVD recorder with a hard drive.

I find the best discs are Maxell DVD+R.
