Recently i found out a poem i wrote for my old teacher many years ago.
It means alot to me because, i was quite close to her. We all cried so much when she left, i still keep in touch with her though.
So the question is, were you close to any of your teachers when you were at school?
Er, No I hated them all, I was hopeless at school and was asked to leave when i was 15, but the daft thing is the teacher I hated the most, I contacted through Friends reunited, I was going to have a right go at him, but we turned out to really get on, he was in his 80s when I spoke to him and he has now died, but I am so glad I made my peace with him, I blamed the teachers not realising I was a horrible little git, now I do realise I was so wrong.
NO WAY!
She was married and had kids, and of cause i didn't.
But i know someone who tended to try it on with the older ladies. Not saying his name here, as he is a registred AB user!
Sorry, ********.
Did you really think i was angry at you K9?
Well i'm sorry but i wasn't i was just emphasising the facts.
Although there was a teacher i liked. I got myself into a few close shaves with her...
When I was about 7/8 we had the best ever teacher.
When I left her class I gave her my most precious thing,
a miniature troll (no pun towards the trolls on here!) in a glass bottle, it was gorgeous!
I never forgot her and i got in touch with her via Friends reunited (did not mention the troll thing)
and of course she remembered me and even said that shes still got the troll and her grand children are fasinated by it!
How nice! :)
I felt quite close to a few teachers over the years.
Our Headmaster in the infants & juniors was a Mr Ling & he was the gentlest, kindest & most patient man you could ever wish to meet.
In secondary school, I was particularly close to Miss Myers our Art teacher, who was also very kind. She sent me a little 'get well' book when I was 12 years old & having my tonsils out. I still have it tucked away, bless her.
However, I don't think anyone liked the Mrs Blackall the Headmistress at that school though, she was a right old battle axe! God rest her soul!
