I have just bought a new television. Isn't it just typical that now that I need to buy a new one that the ugly black colour is coming back into fashion and the silver ones are on the way out? Mine is part black and part silver, but the fact that it has any black in it at all makes it dominate the room when it's switched off.

Is it possible to get covers to fit over television sets like it is with computer monitors?

does it matter that much? our tv broke and because of the space it had to be fitted into (which was an awkward size), we got one which was silver. its the only thing in the room that is silver. its not like people thing 'what a horrible colour'. i've never heard of any covers, doubt people are that bothered

It looks alright when the television is switched on. It is only when it is switched off that it looks like a huge black rectangle. I can learn to live with it, but a cover would mean that the TV wouldn't dominate the appearance of the room.
