Don't know about the safety, but have you considered the weight? What size of thigh muscles do you have that you can contemplate towing a trailer and having a child seat?!? Do you have 3 kids to tow, or is it "stuff" plus a baby?

i have 2 that i would put in trailer and 1 in seat and a very good point my thighs arnt great ill have to think of something else thanks for the reply
My friend has the same set up and it was set up by respected local bike dealer. I would however have the set up checked by a pro as when I got my tricycle tandem tag a long I was told my breaks on the good old faithful bike were not up to it. I assume the weight could be a similar problem if the bike is not suitable. I would have it checked but my friend gets on well with it although she did have to have a new bike to cope. The local bike dealer is not a rip off either we have both used him for years.
I thought about getting a trailer for my 2 when they were smaller, but the weight limit is only about 50kilos in a trailer - and that is heavy to pull. At that time, my two boys were 4 and 3 and are big for their age (in proportion!!!) and were not far off that in shorts and t shirts - I thought by the time they were a little older and wearing full winter kit, I would probably exceed the weight limit. It sounds like you need one of those things you get in holiday resorts for families to ride in! I have to say, in the end I had to cave in and buy a car - much as I hated driving - as there was no way I could get from work in time to pick them up from nursey and then get them home.

hi thanks everyone will look in to getting this sorted as safely as possible i dont drive so if they are to heavy ill have to think of somethink else maybe learn to drive after all we will see thanks everyone
My friend has a hard bottomed Burghley trailer which has quite a high weight limit as she needs hers to be in it till they are a good age. She researched it and found them to be better than the soft bottomed ones. This was a while ago but make sure you look at different brands of trailer. You will need a bike with some low gears too. I have found these invaluable when towing my two. Good luck.

hi winny thanks will have a good shop around
It's very safe - until someone doesn't see the trailer and slams straight into it. Then it doesn't seem such a good idea. Wouldn' t take that risk to transport stuff, never mind the kids!!!
