i have got indian passport and i have been arrested for theft & i paid �85 for tat i did't go to court just had police caution this is all two years back now want to go to usa and canada so it means tat i have got criminal record or not i am going to us embassy for visa there i have to do fingerprints and all tat stuff are they find out that i am a criminal or will they refuse my visa or i will tick no answer what should i do

All I can tell you is the repercussions of lying on a legal from will be much worse than if you tell the truth plus if you tell the truth you won't be constantly looking over your shoulder waiting to be arrested

What country do you live in now? Although I doubt that makes any different

Canada also denies entry to visitors with a criminal record - though they don't go out of their way to ask about whether you have one or not, and they do have the concept of rehabilitation after 5 years (10 for serious offences).
