can you really burst if you eat yeast / raw rice / raw lentils? I'm not taking the mickey, I heard them at 13, I don't believe them now really, but I have no reason, apart from that bit of me that says "nah, food can't kill you", to dismiss it. I just want to hear true or false.

No way but you might have some painful bowel movements if you eat a lot of those last 2 :-) And raw jelly doesn't kill you either.
