Hi Everyone.

Does anyone have any suggestions of where to go abroad for a week early February.

My hubby will have been away with the army for 3 months and I want to surprise him. But with it being out of season for most places I'm a bit unsure of where to start looking. I

'm looking for sun and a few bars and spending about 1500.

Thanks

Try Morocco or the Canaries. We also had a nice week in Egypt at the end of January this year which was safe while we were there.
I visited Morocco last March, from the 5th, the weather was fantastic, not a cloud in the sky for the full week, We were staying at an All Inclusive complex in Agadir. We had such a good time we are going back next year.
Another up and coming place is Cape Verde (constant sunshine), you will pay approx 550 for a week All Inclusive. (sorry can't find a pound sign, Im on hols in Sydney at moment)
Thailand can be picked up very cheaply these days and the weather is excellent all year round - even in February with very little rainfall. Temperatures would be in the low 30s by day and would fall to the mid-20s by night.

Thailand also has some of the best beaches in the world and very few of these Mediterranean types where there is row after row of sunbeds. There are so many Thai beaches which get so few people using them.

10 day deals to Thailand are very easy to come across, especially with companies such as Travelmood and Travelbag, starting from as little as 499GBP (I can't find a pound sign either!) staying in good quality hotels with pools and close to beaches. Alternatively, look in the back of the tabloid newspapers every day and see what various companies are offering. If you want the best in nightlife, then head for Pattaya. The beaches here are fairly good but the city comes alive by night with bars and clubs along the beach road.

The cost of living in Thailand is fantastically cheap, so two of you could very comfortably live on 500GBP for a 10 day trip, even having lots of nights out.
