Windows Messenger

How do you into basic windows messenger without having to download the msn version.
ive done it before but forgot how?

In Windows XP -

Start - my computer - add/remove programmes - add/remove Windows components.

You will see a list, with Messenger towards the bottom.

Just tick it, then Next.

if that doesnt work, open

outlook express, go to: tools windows messanger, log on:

oops, i didnt read the whole 1st answer, that WILL work, i thought you'd written to go to the start menu and look for it there.. my mistake,

either way should boot the blue msg guy into the bottom right corner of the taskbar

i didnt need to do that before! i went somewhere on the net that logged me on...strange!!
