The underground doesn't normally run through the night but London Underground keep all the tubes running overnight on New Years Eve.

Well, they have done for the past few years so I'm presuming they will again this year!
The Underground's last trains depart between 00.00-01.00 depending on where you are at normal times. On new year's eve it carries on running through the night. I think you dont have to pay because they keep the gates open, to cope with the masses.
the tube will be free from 11-45 New Year's Eve night until 4-30 new year's day morning, due to sponsorship provided by NatWest.
