Oh yes, it's crossing the Channel.

Vicious one too. Currently over 100 strikes a minute across the whole storm area.

the BBC isn't predicting anything worse than some light showers for London tomorrow (heavier on Friday) so maybe it'll veer off or just weaken.

this one gives a bit more weight to the flashes off Kent

2am here and very vivid lightening! Thunder just starting but no rain as of yet.

And now here comes the rain - wow!!

Question Author

What rain?

where are you, Smowball?

I'm just outside Croydon.

It's more than actual flashes of lightning - this is huge bursts of it - sky keeps completely lighting up! Rain has eased for a min but was literally coming sideways lol.

I think that there is an AB person in Hayling Island.  It might be Canary - but I'm not sure.

On is there? I didn't know that. Has all passed over here now

Hopkirk 23.35 "Oh yes it's crossing the channel" Makes a change from immigrants crossing the channel .That will please Sunak.🤣

Could be in the Midlands this afternoon,  hope so, I love watching them  from so high up as I can see weather moving in from miles away.  I think they will fizzle out before then,  not really warm enough to 'Feed' the clouds

There's nothing like a big dose of Son et Lumiere (whatever happend to that - it was the in thing in the Sixties).

Yes wolf, I reside in Hayling.

I'm amused that Gully managed to bring some Tory bashing into even this thread.
